Adult Volunteers

Everyone who helps with our Group is a volunteer, nobody is paid for what they do and we couldn’t do it without their valuable contribution. They do it because they enjoy it, and it gives them the chance to help and encourage youngsters to do things that perhaps they wouldn’t otherwise have been able to do, whilst having fun themselves.

If you think you would like to help youngsters in our community make new friends, learn new skills, enjoy the outdoors, take on challenges, and grow to achieve their full potential. As well as you yourself sharing your skills as well as learning new ones. Plus depending on the role that you take up, getting outdoors, hiking, camping, visiting different places.
We’d love your help here in Myland.

We can offer flexible volunteering opportunities, whether you can help us on a regular basis as a fully qualified leader, or weekly as a section assistant or perhaps once a month as an occasional helper we would love to hear from you. There is a role for everyone ranging from adventurous activities to administration, or committee member. All volunteers must agree to undertake a certain amount of training and must have DBS clearance which will be arranged through the group.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
